Strictly on the Road
Over the last few months Strictly Come Dancing has dominated our screens and taken over our Saturday nights; it even determined when we had our Christmas dinner. Just when we thought there was nothing left to say however, they have gone live, bringing sparkle and spray tan to venues across the country. Strictly Come Dancing the Live Tour is on the road for the sixth time and has already wowed audiences in Birmingham and Newcastle.
Putting on their dancing shoes and taking to the ballroom once more, the stars of Strictly Come Dancing series 10 Dani Harmer, Denise Van Outen, Lisa Riley, Michael Vaughan, Louis Smith and Fern Britton are joined by cricketer and star of series 7; Phil Tufnell. The show hosted by Kate Thornton has two rounds for the celebrities to strut their stuff under the watchful eyes of television’s troublesome trio Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli. The audience are then able to vote for their favourite and for every vote cast money is donated to Comic Relief. What more can you ask for glitter balls, cha-chas and a good cause. All that is missing is the extra sparkle that Russell Grant or Ann Widdecombe would bring!
So Strictly Fever is raging once more and all the celebrities are extremely excited to be dancing again. As Dani Harmer said: ‘I’m really thrilled to be part of the Strictly Tour, I’m looking forward to bringing some of the glitz and glamour to the fans all over the country’. After last night’s victory at the National Television Awards, where Strictly beat X-Factor, it is undisputable, Strictly Come Dancing is certainly worth a watch. Plus with shows still to come in Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester, London, Nottingham and Sheffield throughout the rest of January and early February there can be no excuse. Revered as ‘Fab-U-lous’ the Strictly live tour is proving to be as spectacular as the television show but if you still need persuading here is a little back-stage gossip to get you shimmying and shaking.
