We know the dream – striking a pose whilst wearing hundreds of gorgeous leotards, flicking through a catalogue or scrolling down a web page and seeing your picture there, showcasing your talent in one beautiful image…
That dream can become a reality. Here at Dancewear Central, we love to show off our products on real dancers, so that everybody can see just how well these products perform.

Thinking of Becoming a Dancewear Model?
First of all, be ready to dance and strike a pose. It’s pretty obvious, but you should be up for strutting your stuff! Most dancewear companies will want to show just how flexible and well-fitting their products are, and you’ll be the one to demonstrate it.
Secondly, be honest! It’s likely that you’ll be asked what kind of dancer you are, whether you’re a ballerina, street dancer, or tap dancer, and how long you’ve been dancing for. Don’t worry if you haven’t got years of experience behind you – it doesn’t mean that you can’t strike the right pose!
Don’t Pay Out to Be a Model
Some agencies and dancewear companies might ask you to pay a fee upfront when you make an application or send in your photographs, but don’t fall for it. As a dancewear model, you should be rewarded for your work, not paying to work! Be warned – some agencies might just be after your money, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a modelling job at the end of it.
Don’t Get Disheartened
Sometimes it takes a lot of time, applications, and, sadly, rejections before you get hired as a dancewear model. But don’t give up! Each dancewear company or agency will be after a certain ‘look’ in their models – getting rejected doesn’t mean that you’re not great, it just means that they’re after something different. Keep going!
Get Permission
If you’re under the age of 18, it’s vital you have your parent or guardian’s permission before you send off your photos. Not only will they need to accompany you to the photoshoot, but they’ll also need to sign off any papers and/or contracts, so check that it’s okay with them first.
