Streetdance 3D

We've seen dance take over our TV and now it's set to smash onto the big screen too! 'Streetdance 3D,' is a British made film, in fact the first 3D feature to be made outside the USA.

It tells the story of a group of street dancers who, in exchange for access to rehearsal space, are forced to include a group of ballet dancers in their routine for the UK Street Dance Championships. With limited time to prepare and a lot of conflict between the two groups the pressure's on for the dancers to find a way to create a fusion between ballet and street dance. Of course, we wouldn't want to spoil it for you, so we'll say no more than that but the Premiere in London this week certainly got people talking and the first reviews that are emerging are positive.

The flick features some familiar faces too, including Britain's Got Talent winners, George Sampson and Diversity as well as finalists, Flawless.

This film puts both Street Dance and British cinema firmly in the spotlight and seems to feed our ever growing hunger for dance, dance and more dance and small screen and in cinemas alike.

It will be in cinemas nationwide from May 21st. Want to know more? The official website is http://www.streetdancethemovie.co.uk
