Breakdancing for Boys Behaving Badly?
It seems Street Dance isn't only a means of getting your heart rate going, but is now also being used to deal with badly behaved school boys.
Mid Calder Primary School in West Lothian is taking an alternative approach to dealing with bad behaviour. They've brought in break dancing lessons! The better the boys behave, the more time they have to spend break dancing.
The Deputy Head Mistress spoke to Sky News about the initiative;
"The scheme has developed their skills, their teamwork, their cooperation and their attitude has improved as well. They're very enthusiastic."
Street Dance and Break Dance are particularly "cool" forms of dance, proving even more so with dance groups like, 'Diversity,' experiencing masses of mainstream success and limelight. It's a great means of exercise and a superb alternative for children to sitting in front of the TV!
Seems like a pretty great idea! Perhaps schools up and down the country could benefit...
